Trust TESG to handle your lead-related concerns with professionalism, care, and dedication to health and safety.

A lead inspection is highly recommended for any residential property built before 1978, as federal regulations require sellers and landlords to disclose known lead hazards before leasing or purchasing. It is also critical before initiating any remodeling or demolition projects that could disturb hidden lead-based paint layers and release toxic dust into your indoor air.

  • We utilize advanced, non-destructive technology alongside targeted sampling methods. Our field specialists use handheld X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyzers to instantly read lead concentrations deep through multiple paint layers without damaging your walls. We also collect physical paint chips, indoor dust wipe samples, and exterior soil samples for accredited laboratory confirmation when necessary.

  • While peeling or chipping paint is a clear hazard, friction from opening older windows, scraping doors, or conducting minor renovations creates microscopic lead dust. This dust settles invisibly on floors, carpets, and toys. It is easily inhaled or ingested by young children and pets, which is the primary cause of childhood lead poisoning.

We provide a comprehensive Lead Inspection Report detailing the exact location, condition, and concentration of all lead hazards found. We outline specific regulatory options for your situation, helping you determine whether the best course of action is permanent lead abatement (removal) or safe interim controls (interim encapsulation and containment) to keep your property legally compliant.
